The two-day trip is the hardest pack in travel: too short for a checked case, too long for a tote. The system that works is boring, and that is its virtue — cubes, a shoe compartment, and a short list stuck to without negotiation.
Start with the cubes
Compression cubes turn a soft bag into drawers. The Atlas gives you four sizes: the XL takes trousers and a knit, the L takes shirts, the M takes smalls, and the S is for cables and chargers. Zip, then zip again — the second pass is the compression.
The list (two days, one bag)
Two bottoms, three tops, one layer for weather, sleepwear, and the dopp kit. Wear the heaviest shoes; pack the second pair in the shoe compartment of The Voyager, soles away from everything. If it is not on the list, it does not travel — souvenirs ride home in the space the compression bought you.
Longer trip? Same system, bigger case
Past three days, move the same cubes into a hard case: The Meridian opens from the front, so the cubes stay stacked like shelves instead of being excavated. The rest of the kit — pillows, passport wallets, umbrellas — lives in Travel Essentials.
